About Green Day

Green Day is an American punk/rock band formed in the East Bay of California in 1987 by lead vocalist and guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong together with bassist and backing vocalist Mike Dirnt. For most of the band's career, they have been a power trio with drummer Tré Cool, who replaced John Kiffmeyer in 1990 before the recording of the band's second studio album, Kerplunk (1991).     Alright, Alright I guess the studio version is alright, but I hate live music. All of my friends like this song, but it is by far the worst green day song.

    I personally Like this album because it shows Green Day's softer rock. But, I think you should probly buy the one from the "American Idiot" album because, the crowd kind of ruins the whole affect. So, overall, I recomend this song, but get it in a different album! But, if you like live performances, I think you should get it!

    This is a great song, and I just have to say that it is NOT about Iraq or 9/11 or anything like that, but his dad dying when he was a little kid and the impact it had on him. But, Billie Joe is an incredible song writer and musician, and I bet everyone in the universe can relate to any number of his songs, especially 'Wake me up when September Ends'.
