Timeless artist with emotion in every song!
  • Where's the honkytonk stuff?

This collection has most of the best of Marty's later material, but it's missing all of the classic early honkytonk era. Where's White Sportcoat, Story of My Life, and Singing the Blues? All essential. Can't agree that this is 'one of the best compilations'. If you're looking for a single disc cheap comp, "16 Biggest Hits" hits the mark better, even though it has fewer songs. I agree about the album cover- guess they were going for a 'wide-open skies' kind of thing, but that is not an appealing photo.
  • no i agree it is the wrong album cover

I found marty in my early 20's and to be honist he has the voice of an angle. But Ive seen great album covers in my day and this is not one of them. But there is some great music on here.
  • The 'RIGHT' album cover!

I have this 2-LP set and IT IS the right album cover. A 'good' line-up of some of Marty's best.
