Kate McGarry is an American jazz singer. Born in Boston, she relocated to southern California where she became a staple on the Los Angeles jazz scene. She eventually relocated to New York, where she continues to record and perform. While she is blessed with a powerful and versatile instrument, her acoustic band also lets her the option to sing with subtlety rather than solely rely on vocal pyrotechnics.
