40 Days

This album will stand the test of time for years it's 12 now and it sounds even better if that were possible(thanks apple). Sometimes you need beautiful uplifting music and this fits the bill.

One voice is the most beautiful and amazing song I have ever heard!! 5 stars:)

It's that sound when you start out alone, and someone nows what you're singing and joins in like the perfectly cut peices of a puzzle, grasping, trickling, and blending into eachother, it then makes a peaceful picture of things like water falls, at times, thousands of droplets running into a swift smooth creek. It's pure, beauty. They've managed to capture the sight of a water fall in music, plain and simple music, the gift that we've always had, and many don't know that their gift is there, finding this CD makes one's day. It's kind of like finding Narnia.

The Jennys add yet another dimension to the many groups out there claiming "good harmonies." These three darlings have such a crystalline, joyous, angelic quality to their vocal stylings that they might just shatter in otherwise less capable hands. On "40 Days," however, we are blessed with a motherload of good tunes: from the catchy "Beautiful Dawn" to the campfire-like "Saucy Sailor" to the uplifting "One Voice" -- allow The Jennys to make your listening-life just that much better.

If you like the Dixie Chicks and/or Alison Krauss, you will LOVE the Wailin' Jennys. I first heard them listening to The Weepies station on Pandora Radio, and I absolutely love them.
