Excellent collection of all their 70s material. Check out the shredding on "Aloha Steve and Dano," a nod to the Ventures' "Hawaii 5-0 Theme." Great for fans of American hard rock and punk rock. I had the good fortune to see these guys last summer in KC and they still got it!

This is an incredible band. I've known about them for years. There are only a few bands out there that I can listen to over and over again and not get tired of the songs...this is one of them. Radio Birdman has many records out ther and they are all great, I hope itunes will put them all out someday! Deniz Tek is the writer of most of the songs and the guitarist. Along with his numerous recordings with Radio Birdman he has recorded with New Race and has done many personal projects, all of his stuff is great! The energy of RBM is inspiring and contagious especially if you love great guitar riffs and cool songs. Best of all there live shows are untouchable! I hope they get the recognition the deseve some day.

My bro introduced me to RBM recently, I'd never heard of them till then. Their music to me sounds like if the Doors went punk, and who can beat Aloha Steve & Dano!!? It's too bad that this band isn't putting out any more albums. I say buy this album cause you'll be a better person if you do.

I first heard their American release Radios Appear in 1978. The Essential Radio Birdman is a great collection of innovative 70s pre-punk. While everyone else was listrening to Emerson Lake and Palmer, Deniz Tek and Rob Younger were kickin out the jams motor city style in Sydney. If you like the Stooges, MC 5 and early BOC, get it now!

I just saw Deniz Tek play Live in Chicago at the Beat Kitchen in the band "The Last of the Bad Men." They were incredible and brought me back to the 80's hardcore punk scene. Deniz can make guitare licks come alive in a fast/hard pounding punk rage. This album is a must and if you can find some of his recent work, you're very fortunate...
