No divas showing everybody that they can sing a high note, these are singers with gorgeous voices singing honest, respectful and beautiful Ray Conniff arrangements of Christmas songs with cheer, each one a songbird. I'm passing this musical treasure to my kids.

Nothing but fond memories listening to this album as a child while it was snowing outside.

A childhood favorite but it will not be this rendition as there are only 6 of the 14 songs in the download, even though the "cover art" shows more listings. No one will call me back to discuss this.
  • Keeping childhood Christmas memories alive with Ray Conniff

I am not a fan of most Christmas music because it has gotten so overdone and overplayed by mostly famous musicians who have ruined it and it has gotten very tiresome and more so since I have to hear it at work all day, but the Ray Conniff album is the best around and never seems to grow old. They have crafted a timeless piece that still sounds as fresh as it did more than 40 years ago. It's the Abbey Road of XMAS records and in my mind it will never get old. I highly recommend this to all and those with children to pass on to a new generation to be part of your Christmas family tradition such as mine.

This is probably my favorite Christmas album of all time. Just kitschy enough but pure joy.

I first purchased this album back in December 1963 in an Army px while stationed in Germany, fortunate enough to have the only stereo player on the our floor, my Army buddies would gather around the stereo and listen to it over and over again. Brings back countless memories every year, still great listening and sing -a- long music thru the years......I left the stereo and the album in Germany so that other Army buddies could enjoy it, I purchased another album at a garage sale (in excellent condition) and also have added it to my library.

Ah yes, Christmas, 1970's, Altoona PA, huge snow storms, real tree, real Lionel w/all metal cars on a homemade platform, trying desperately to get into that room beside the coal room in the basement (that's where the mother load was stashed!), and music like this. Gotta love the medley's. And I really enjoyed reading the iTunes review, hehehe, a step or two above Lawerence Welk......and I'm buying it. Gotta go peruse the Alternative Music and balance this out a bit. Happy Holidays 2010 and beyond, get these songs, you'll never regret them...
