  • New Versions Of The Hits

As for The Jets side of this compilation album, these are not all the original members who have done "remakes" of their hits. These versions are done by their younger siblings. 'Curiosity' for example has Natalia Wolfgramm on lead who assumed her sister Elizabeths position in the band when she left. 'Sacrifice' is actually a new song written and performed by LeRoy Wolfgramm original member of the group on lead guitar. 'The Truth' is also an original song done by The Jets on their Love People album which is no longer in print. So for the Jets fans, buy this CD if you want some variant versions of your favorites by the musical Wolfgramm family!
  • YES it IS the original artists, but NOT the original recordings

Several years ago K-Tel records paid both The Jets and Atlantic Starr to go back in to the studio and re-record their biggest hits. They did this because their old record labels owned the masters to the originals and they would not license them for a greatest hits project outside their label, so K-Tel did the next best thing. I actually LIKE the somewhat updated arrangements, and getting to hear what the bands sound like NOW, so many years later. Also, this compilation is a combination of two seperate releases from each, and if you're really a fan of either, it's worth seeking out the full albums, rather than this "Back-to-Back" sampler. Also, if what you want to hear is ONLY the original recordings themselves, there are hits packages for both of these bands still in print from their old labels, so seek those out instead. But please don't say these aren't the original artists, because they are!

This was soooo misleading. When I saw Atlantic Starr AND the jets together, i was so excited. Then something told me to listen to samples. Who are these people and what have you done with the REAL singers?!! Free them. Free them NOW!!
  • Do not purchase, this album is awful!

I only chose one star because there was no option for "zero" stars. This album does not sound right at all. It is not the original artists singing. Not worth ur money, or the torcher to ur eardrums, especially if u're a fan. Good concept. Terrible execution.

Are these the actual artists singing? These songs aren't even close to the original versions!!!! I think the artists are making some money off their songs but why did K-tel have to put out this album? Horrible Horrible Horrible is all I can say. Do a search on each artist and use the 30 second samples that iTunes gives us. But iTunes, keep this stuff off the Music Store shelf!!!
