This is one of the best albums they have made in the past 10 - 15 years.

I can honestly say everything they put out for us to hear is great, interesting, adventurous or heavy and enjoyable. I slept on deliverance and gave it a chance a couple years ago I loved it. Went well with and opening to a hard life for me and helped me through. This new Album is softer but those aggressive vocals are present along with how they have been lately. Thank you Opeth. I hope to see you live in the future.

The growls are back. Cool. But the weird guitar cheese doodling and out-of-tune clean vocals that mar so many of the band’s later albums remain. So, better than what they’d done in a while and yet, still meh.

Wow. This is truly everything that defines this band from the early stages to their later stages, all packed in a tight 51 minutes. From song writing to production, they did it right.

This is one of the most classiest bands in music today even the death metal vocals aren’t too excessive in this, but I love the musical passages and I love the way. Michael can just sing growls one second and then go to deep beautiful voice the next yourself a favor and add this to your Music collection.

Very good album. It’s better than the last few albums that’s for sure. The old school vibes are there with a mixture of new elements. Really digging it! If they make another album, hopefully they continue where this leaves off.
