20years ago when this album was originally released, it was around the same time I began dating my husband. Every song, has a significant memory that I hold dear. The challenges we struggled with our first year together were out of the ordinary, from a deployment, unexpected pregnancy and sadly the loss of that pregnancy. Eventually an engagement and marriage. Alicia and her beautiful songs got me through these difficult and joyous times with her Diary. I loved this album so much. Her words her melodies her vocals. They were everything, and as my husband and I danced our first dance together at our wedding, it was Alicia’s “If I Ain’t Got You” that we were dancing too. This was, is a GREAT album!

What purpose does music like this serve. Old Navy dressing room motivation?
