Really like his whole album that dropped at the beginning of the summer. Decided to check out his other stuff and had to add it to my collection. All the noise on whether this is or isn’t country is just that, noise. I like this guy’s stuff whatever you wanna call it.
  • Not country

It’s not bad at all, it’s just not country. Country/Americana/Roots music has a range of sounds, but they’re all within the country genre; this just isn’t inside that. Doesn’t make this bad music at all, it’s just not within that country-cowboy/story teller genre. Story telling can happen in any genre, but it has a sound to it, like blues, spoken word, folk, singer-songwriter, rap, hip/hop… they all have a sound, even if there’s stylistic range and diversity to that sound, it still has an expected range of sounds.

Don’t know if Shaboozey music should be classified as country or rap because it’s neither. Can’t understand the logic behind trying to put this unique artist into a category where people can hate for no reason. I’m not a pure country or rap fan. But, definitely a fan of Shaboozey.

Love this sound! All the bad reviews seem to be from people that were expecting regular country. Nah, this is a mix of country/hip hop and every song is FIRE!!!

Why is this showing up in the country genera? As far as hip hop goes, it might be good. I don’t really know enough about hip hop to know what’s good or bad. I know one thing for sure. This isn’t country music at all.

Good Country music does not need the F-bomb to get people to listen.
