this album is absolutely wondeful...I dont know how you can compare it to Christian Death, Rozz's singing is 100 times better than cancers but still its good. This is more of deathrock than goth or punk
  • Evil surf gothic punk at it's best!

This band had some great people in it, and this album shows off just how good they all were. There is something hilarious about the classification of this band now, as they are sometimes referred to as "goth". This band certainly was, but this is not your later goth stuff. This is goth that would kick the sh#% out of future weepy goth bands with a sense of humor about the dark and evil tones that Anton LeVay would be proud of. A Great Album.

I bought this when it was first released on vinyl, several years ago...OK...Many years ago. This is an instant classic - i remember slamdancing to songs like 'Wax' and 'Evil', but the best slamdance song in their repertoire was undoubtedly 'Violent World'. listening to this brings me back to the days of the Vex and the Polish Auditorium. i'm not sure why both versions of 'Partytime' were needed here...'Akira Raideen' would have really rounded out this entire collection. A good all around album, not to dark, solid musicianship, and humorous lyrics, and catchy riffs. I'd give it 4.5, but thats not possible, so it gets a '4'.
