Would be a 4 star album if they didn’t remove the 2 mins of silence at the end of triad.

Everyone has to give this album a chance. First playthru you’ll dig some tracks, another playthru and you’ll see how each song blends with the next. It’s better while your mind is expanded

…Tool outclassed themselves. The Grudge already makes previous efforts seem dull by comparison (except Jimmy on Ænima), and the rest is self explanatory. Schism has got a really cool bassline, and I hear Peter Gabriel influence in Reflection. On the whole really good, able to be appreciated by hardcore death metalheads and pop/rap/emo wimps alike. Such is the power of Tool.

It’s very rarely that an album is produced so perfectly that it must be listened to in full to really understand and appreciate it for the complete work of art that it is. The concept, the music, the engineering on this album are all perfect. Much like Dark Side of The Moon, this album is a journey that must be taken. 20 years on and I’m still discovering new things with each listen.
  • Best Progressive Rock Band ever!

There are not enough words to describe how awesome this band is and how awesome this album is! I was lucky enough to see them live and they performed many of the songs on this album and my mind was just completely blown! We can see and hear a band that is maturing, yet not losing their full signature sound but at the same time are improving. That is so rare in a band these days. Most bands have maybe 2 to 3 good albums in them. This band just gets better with each album. Seriously, don’t pass on this one. Listen to the whole thing. Every song is great!

An album so good it should have never been allowed to be on streaming services.

This is an album that’ll last forever. Throw away everything you’ve ever known about music, open your mind, and learn from the instrumentation and lyrics in front of you. Progress towards perfection folks.

  • Their Finest Hour!

“Lateralus” is, by far, Tool’s finest hour. Heavier than “Opiate”, more progressive than “Ænima”, and Adam Jones at the very top of his game. Superb!!!!
