About Talib Kweli

Talib Kweli Greene (born October 3, 1975 in Brooklyn, New York) is a North American MC known as one of the most prominent rappers in underground hip-hop, and is critically acclaimed frequently, despite not being commercially successful. Kweli first gained recognition through Black Star, a collaboration with fellow MC Mos Def. He released his solo debut album Quality in 2002 and has since released 2004's The Beautiful Struggle, 2005's mixtape album Right About Now, 2007's Eardrum, 2011's Gutter Rainbows and 2013's Prisoner of Conscious.     Been a fan since day one. I need Talib to take it back to day one album. We need pure music not this $&@“ that’s on the radio now. Kweli is a pure lyricist and I was really feeling him when he came out. All I’m saying is that Talib needs to be more mainstream but continue to keep it underground

    I gave 4 star on the strength of who he is. It would probably be a good buy if I had the money right now. This is not a review...but more of a statement. Radio is being controlled and it's much bigger than the stations that play the music. The music we call wack is being played on the radio by design. They are wanting to normalize us into thinking bad music is good and good music is bad. It is being done to all of the arts.
