Monica is among the best singers the game. This project for me has the feel of 'Miss Thang' but through a modern context. I love her voice and maturity on this project.
  • Just admit it...

Let's all just admit Monica hasn't made a stand out album since 1998. Even 'After the storm' which I bought the cd was quite boring as well. She has one of the greatest voices in R&B but apparently not the greatest song writers not producers. Smh

A few tracks, as mentioned by other commenters, were just not for Monica. I understand evolving with the change of music to remain relevant, but... No! I don't expect her to put out another "Miss Thang" album, but don't crossover so much that you begin to lose your longtime loyal fans.

I am upset Monica does not reserve promotion or support from her label RCA. This is a really good album with so many potential singles, "Alone In Your Heart," "Hustler's Ambition," "Deep," "I Miss Music," and "I Know," could all be singles. I just wish Monica would get the attention she should for her music.

This album has grew on me since its release. Monica has done it again. I think with each album, she gives me a different vibe and sound. I admit I was not sure to like this album at first but the more I listen, the more it grew on me.

Monica is one of my favorite artist. This is no art . Maybe she needs her heart broken or a writer with a broken heart. This album was thrown together.

I'm sorry..I love Monica but this album is just worse than the last 1! It's all over the place. The vocal production is wrong and I feel like she's trying to keep up to date with "today's r&b" music and she doesn't have to! It's ok to mix a lil new with the old,but it's too much. #ijs
  • Disappointed

I have a feeling that 80% of this project are songs that were cut from previous projects with about 4 new created songs. Luckily nowadays it won't seem odd to drop a 2nd album in the same year, because a 2nd one is needed to redeem "code red".
