  • My fourth favorite Newsboys album.

This is the Newsboys first ever commercially successful album. They make so many positive changes. This includes: Peter Furler singing lead vocals on some songs, Steve Taylor teaming up with Furler for songwriting, drastically changing their sound to more of a 90’s pop-rock sound, and even sneaking in a DeGarmo & Key cover. There are so many great songs in this album, and I love all ten songs. There definitely is more of a noticeable variety of songs than their first three albums. However, I do think the first half of the album is stronger than the second half. Regardless of it’s minor flaws, it is my fourth favorite Newsboys album. I highly recommend this album for hardcore Newsboys fans.
  • A pretty decent Christian 90’s album!

While I think some of their other 90’s works are better, this one does not deserve to be cut out! Not Ashamed has a late 80’s/early 90’s vibe to it that some may not like, but some might. Favorites: I Cannot Get You Out of My System, I’m Not Ashamed, Upon This Rock, Dear Shame, and Boycott Hell.
