This is the first time I have listened to Stone Sour and I think this album is incredible. It is rare for me to like every song on an album but this one made it possible. And to think i just randomly stumbled across this at the library!
Better Than Part 1?

I think I enjoy Part 2 better than Part 1 of House of Gold & Bones. This part is more rocking and I can see it being performed live more than the first half. Love the singles, like “Do Me A Favor” and “The Uncanny Valley."
Too Good!!!

I truly appreciate Stone Sour. I really liked Come What(ever) May and loved Audio Secrecy. I love Slipknot, and also all kinds of other metal bands.
I totally appreciate the premise of a conceptual two disc album, but was really not impressed with the songs on either of the HOGAB albums. It bums me out to say that, because I would genuinely say I love everything that Corey's ever done, but these albums were musically disappointing to me.
I'm likely not going to go back and listen to any song on these albums, unlike their previous albums. But, I'm giving it three stars because my expectation for these might have been unrealistic, and therefore skewed.
AMAZING!!!!

Really bad. And the editor comparing it to pink floyd doesn't help.

First off, both parts are supposed to be listened to back to back. It is a musical telling of the short story Corey wrote. The short story is included with the packaged versions of the albums, broken up in half for each album. It has since been made into a mini comic book series. Second, the songs on this album go from hard to soft to hard again. Do Me a Favor, the second to last song on the album is a great example of how Corey, Jim, Roy, and Josh designed the songs to blend both albums together, musically not just lyrically. Great album!!
Simply amazing

Combined with part 1, hogab is an amazing album. This part has some slower ones compared to part 1 and took me a little getting used to, but they're both great when you listen to them as if they were one.
