AC/DC is the greatest rock band ever. Their blues infused rock is a must see and listen. This album is the second best selling album of all time and for good reason. It starts off with Hells Bells and ends with Rock and Roll Aint Noise Pollution. In between is Back in Black, Giving The Dog a Bone, and so many more. The way Hells Bells starts, with the long guitar intro was ground breaking. Angus and Malcom have always been the leaders of the band but without a lead singer and front man they wouldn’t have been so popular. Bon helped them get started but Brain was perfect for the 80s. In Rock n’ Roll heaven Bon and Malcom are jamming together.

There is no doubt that this is a great album. No doubt, one of the best ever. My only question is if this is #1, the absolute best. In terms of album sales, most sources say it’s second behind Thriller. The influence on many generations of rock musicians is astounding. There isn’t a guitarist alive that hasn’t figured out the back in black riff. It’s straightforward rock. No gimmicks, no effects (unless you count the bell), no slowing down. It’s simplicity raised to an art, tight and flawlessly performed. For the hard rock genre, all others must bow down.
