He is the realist rapper out there, songs such as Family Straight and 2nd Chance really stand out about the reality of real things that happen in this world. He speaks nothin but the truth and thats what makes him so great. His other two albums were great, but "Da Realist" is his best album by far and is a must buy for hip hop fans. I can listen from track 1 to track 16 without having to change the song.

This album isn't bad at all. I must have a completely different taste than most because I would give All Black 4.5/5, Heard of Me 4.5/5, and Me &My Goons 4/5. Not a bad album. Listen to the songs more than once before writing a review.

Just five months after releasing Definition of Real and a solid year since The Real Testament. Rapper Plies releases his third album. Da REAList in only 16 months. Here is Plies' third disc review. Me & My Goons 1.5/5 F**k U Gon' Do Bout It 2/5 Gotta Be 3/5 Want It, Need It 3.5/5 Plenty Money 2.5/5 Family Straight 4.5/5 Make a Movie 3.5/5 2nd Chance 2/5 Spend the Night 3/5 Heard of Me 2.5/5 All Black .5/5 Street Light 3.5/5 I Chase Paper 3/5 Pants Hang Low 2/5 Co-Defendant 3.5/5 Put It On Ya 3/5 This time around, Plies is very bad on this. Everything is either rushed or poorly put together. His third time around is pretty much his worst to date. Some songs aren't to bad like "Gotta Be" and "Want It, Need It" aren't to terrible. While "Pants Hang Low", "All Black", and "Me & My Goons" have a lazy flow, and bad lyrical terms. Guests on the album like Ashanti, Sean Garrett, and Chris J are alright, but still they are not the best by any means. Lyrically, this album is poor. Plies isn't spitting or rapping anything intrusting or clever in any of his verses. Though some songs aren't a pain to listen to like "Family Straight" and "Want It, Need It" have decent lyrics. Production can be all over as it is handled by Mannie Fresh, Jim Jonsin, and DVS. "Pants Hang Low" is a good one in terms. Mannie Fresh delievers excellent banging club production. Though the lyrics aren't by any means clever. Plies' third time at the mic is really his worst time. This album was released way to early. Plies' next release will be in March 2009. Lets hope his next album won't be rushed or poorly constructed. Mediocre job by Plies. Rating: 5/10
