Lenegan is a great vocalist and I wish he would do a crooner and/or lounge(moody)record.Such as his collaboration with Mad Season on the song Long Gone Days with the late and great Layne Staley. Lenegan has a soulful voice and you can hear it. Mix up some sexy bass grooves,some snare,kickdrum,and moody ride with a catchy xylophone, and some orchestra backin you up and holy crap! Cheers!

Greg Dulli is a music GOD!!!!!!!!! I like doomcookies review..."musical mindfxxk of perfection"..lol. well put...Get album, but #8 is just amazing...I play that over an over...many hot nights listening to all Dulli touches! Get This Now!!! A billion Stars....

Lanegan and Dulli continue to amaze me. See them in concert if you get the chance, they're amazing live.

I loved Saturnalia, and I love this album as well. Lanegan and Dulli have thrown out some great cover songs and new two originals, I find this album hard to stop listening to. I absolutley love their version of Scott Walker's "Duchess" aswell as their take on "St. James Infirmary". "We Have Met Before" is a haunting but power original. The whole album is awesome in my opinion though, so I recommend buying the whole thing.

Heard about this a month or so ago and heard some of the covers live. The cover of Scott Walker's "Duchess" is shockingly good and the two new songs are absolutely killer.

Seriously though, both The Mark Lanegan Band as well as The Afghan Whigs were very good bands but combining the two lead singers has brought them to a whole new level. Deep Hit of Morning Sun ROCKS!! If you're a fan of either of these guys or just good rock music, then look no further!
