this is areally good album with the songs played on game day, but with the team going to more bowls and having the hold on the commander and chiefs trophy it would be nice for it to include: the goat is old and knarly.

The Naval Academy Band is the band of Navy musicians stationed at the Naval Academy. Like other band positions, these don't rotate often and they are just as much professional Navy musicians as those stationed with the other bands (7th Fleet Band, US Navy Band, PACFLT).
The student music group that also plays similar music is the Naval Academy Drum and Bugle Corps.
Naval Academy Parades feature both groups in different parts of the parade.
I would guess that the vocal tracks (Eternal Father and Navy Blue and Gold) are done by the Naval Academy Men's Glee Club. Also, it sounds like the Navy Blue and Gold track uses the older set of lyrics. Hard to tell since the break starts right where some of the words were adjusted.
I would have enjoyed a little fuller sound quality. But if you're looking to re-enact a Navy parade with your kids acting as sandblowers, this has much of the music.

There isn't anything wrong with this album. I just prefer the fight songs on Charles Ive's America by the US Marine Corps bands. I have no beef with this band. I just prefer these songs by the US Marine band. They are the best band that I know. As for the versions of Eternal father and the like why would you listen to a student band do this. The US Navy Band has these on most of their albums and they are all professional musicians. You should check out Music for Honors and Ceremonies by the US Navy Band and Victory at Sea also by the US Navy Band. You'll find better versions of these songs and more on these albums.
Skip this one students are alright pros are better.

The Best renditions of the Naval Academy songs that we remembered. Eternal Father and Blue and Gold are perfect to put my son to sleep! God Bless! 28th Company, Class of 2000.
