  • Great Debut Album

It's seems to be a big challenge for Australian artists to define their own sound and style. However, Ricki-Lee had done a great job of defining who she is and the music she loves. This type of music not only works down under, but could totally be commercially successful in the states. She just needs the proper backing.

I love Ricki Lee. I had never heard of her until I looked in my Just For You, and there it was Ricki Lee. She has more albums then this one. I wish itunes would get "Love is all around". I also wish they would get music videos.

I am so glad she is finally on iTunes. She came to fame on Australian Idol and has been one of the most successful contestants there since her season ended. There are so many great songs on this album. The best are Sunshine, Hell No, and Breathe which were all hits in Australia. Tell Him and Turn It Up are also really strong. Ricki-Lee has a great voice and this album has a great mix of ballads and fun up tempo songs. I hope iTunes puts up her new album (Brand New Day) because it is even better.
