About Evile

Evile is a thrash metal outfit from Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, England formed in 2004. In October of 2006 Evile signed to Earache Records, label home of well-known metal bands such as Morbid Angel, Napalm Death, Municipal Waste and Carcass. • The second coming of Slayer!

Why is this in the Rock category?? This is Metal AF! I played "Thrasher" on Rock Band and immediately thought of Slayer. Just put Tom Araya at vocals and there you have it!
  • The vocals are not aggresive enough to be growling/screaming, but too aggresive to be something else

The vocals are aggresive talking; there is no melodic singing or death metal growling instead. It is a shame because the guitar work is fantastic, as usual. It is just because of the vocals that I never got into this album. If you are looking to get into this fantastic band, then perhaps you should consider Five Serpent's Teeth instead. Great album, and a large improvement over this.

It isn't a far stretch of the imagination to say Evile sounds like old school Metallica and Slayer. Great album with a great sound. If I were to rank a modern day Big 4 it would definitely be Testament, Overkill, Warbringer, and Evile.

As soon as I heard the first riff on this album, I got chills. and after the album finished, Evile became my favorite band. This is a great album from an amazing band. It's a sin not to buy this album

I normally don't write reviews for I am much to lazy but saying Killer from the deep is a bad song is just wrong it's the best song on the album imo... The entire album is an amazing thrash masterpiece, which is rare these days and even rarer since they're a new band and this is their first album.

It's pretty solid but it's got nothing on Trivium!!!

If I had to classify this I'd call it a cross between Reign in Blood and Master of Puppets. Reign in blood because of the insane, harsh, and brutally fast beats and heavy as furk. And Master of Puppets for the soloing and occasional deep, dark, and epic track. I'd definitely recommend this to any thrash or even groove metal fan. Great stuff, can't wait to see more from these guys!!
