Back in the day, I used to work for a clothing store called Merry-Go-Round. Their Christmas CD contained the most lovely version of Winter Wonderland. Unfortunately, I was never able to figure out who sang this version. But now I know, and I can have it for myself after searching for - holy smokes - 28 years?!?!?

The vocalist in particular is awful. Run away as fast as you can.

This version of Frosty the Snowman is by far the best version I've ever heard. Never really liked the song until the Cocteau Twins version!

of course, like most people, I heard "Alice" in the movie The Lovely Bones. When I listen to the song I replay the scene where all the girls are playing in the field & the little one goes up & hugs Susy. This song makes me cry. Beautiful Song, Amazing Movie. Love it. this is the ultimate "shoegazer' band, although i hate the term... layered, ethereal, psychedelic, lush,brilliant,beautiful, inspiring,... i can go on, but i prefer to listen to elizabeth and robin and the awesome music they made together...

i heard "alice" in the lovely bones movie and loved the song, its ironic that the songs name is the authors name of the lovely bones. amazing songs

This album is great! I first heard "Alice" in The Lovely Bones and immediately fell in love with this particular album. Cocteau Twins at their finest without a doubt :)

Having all the EPs and special songs from my favourite band all in one place is like a kid in the candy store. The acoustic versions of rilkean heart and half-gifts are my two favourites and I'm loving even the songs from the Otherness EP (feet like fins, seekers who are lovers). Must have to round up your CT collection, I can't get enough of it!

You can not go wrong with the Cocteaus at any age. Thank you, itunes for finally adding their version of "Winter Wonderland". That's the one song I've been missing to complete the Twins' collection. Lullabyes To Violaine Vol 2 is a must-have!
