O.K., so David was not at the forefront in this band. This is the band D.C. grew up in. Embrace it. This is a part of his past, and Hey, guess what? It's still a great band, and I am glad i-tunes has made them accessable to me. Andy Skibb, who plays guitar and back-up vocals, is in David Cook's new band, and they are still sound great. In this MWK music, Andy was the lead singer, and he's got a good voice. I can hear the influence of "Our Lady Peace"'s Raine Maida, especially in Andy's vocals. He has a deep, rich voice. As far as I am concerned, David is the more beloved lead singer, but Andy can sure pull it off as well!! I love "Make Me". I swear I have heard it somewhere before... maybe a T.V. show? There's something about it. Or have I just played it so many times that I think I have heard it before?

OK - I heard of them through David Cook too and had no idea what to expect. From the first song, I was totally hooked on Andy Skib's voice. And the lyrics - simple, unpretentious, and virtually cliche-free. Incredible energy, musicianship, songwriting and production. The only recording I own that I love every song. I really can't say enough good about this band.

Ok, I used the same title in my review of MWK's most recent EP, Luna Despierta. I suppose since half the band is now with David Cook, many people have heard of them by now. Alternative rock, superb music with smart, straight forward lyrics by Neal Tiemann, fantastic vocals by Andy Skib. This band rocked before David Cook joined them, and they rocked on this EP when DC was with them singing backup. MWK's musicanship is superb, and the multiple layers of sound on their recordings is better than many major label releases. You can't stop at just one EP. You'll want to purchase their entire catalogue.
  • Amazing!

Neal Tiemann is an amazing songwriter and lead guitarist. Andy has a killer voice and DC on back-up vocals and guitar makes this a must have!! Love this album!

This EP is fantastic - and worth a lot more than 5.96 in my opinion...One True Thing and Circle's Anthem are my favorites off this record, they are so well written, sung, and played that I'm surprised they aren't on the radio. To the haters below- maybe David Cook isn't the front man in this band, but if a man of his talent was proud to work with these guys, and even hire the lead guitar player (Neal) for his new band, don't you think they might be worth an open minded listen at least? Oh and Josh Center played drums for Analog Heart - so obviously these are all old band mates that he respects a great deal!

I really love this album. The lyrics are great. Andy's singing is awesome and the harmonies from David really add to it. I find myself having to listen to this album at least three times a day. Then I hum it the rest of the time. Absolutely worth the money.
