I am not an aficionado of gospel, and some of these songs don't have really desirable music backing up her immortal voice. But her rendition of "Summertime / Sometimes I Feel Like a Motherless Child" is one of the finest songs I've ever heard. (This is doubtless why it's the sole Album Only track.)

Her voice is like a warm blanket, I truely feel the spirit of God in her vocals, this is comfort food for the soul!! Chills and thrills in the name of GOD!!

For those who are tired of the seemingly "cookie-cutter" Gospel music being produced these days, this may be the album for you. Let Sister Jackson take you for a ride with her ever-soulful and "Spirit-ful" performances on this album. If you can't lift your hands in praise and bow your head in worship while listening to this music, you may need to check for a pulse!

If you want to be lifted on your feet and touch the clouds of heaven, Sister Mahalia will make you feel just that way when her vocals touch your soul.
