About Ty Bello
Toyin (Ty) Shokefun Bello is a Nigerian musician. Her music is eclectic: urbane, groovy and soulful; and is laced with hip hop, jazz and R&B.
She is a University of Lagos economics graduate. She was a member one of Nigeria’s most celebrated urban gospel band- Kush made up of her, Emem and Lara.
Her debut album, Green Land, took over two years to write. The video for Green land has been hailed as one of the best ever from Nigeria. She shot the video herself.
