Note to those who don't know: David Cook was a background singer, along with Neal Tiemann. Andy Skib was the lead vocalist for MWK's. I do like the CD, though.

Great music!! I absolutely love this cd...awesome songwriting and music. Anything by Midwest Kings is amazing, I bought their other albums/EPs over a year ago, and I cannot get enough of their music. Lead singer has such a mesmerizing voice..hopefully this stuff makes it to the radio. Everyone should hear it. Hopefully they will bring some new music to us soon!!

This well-conceived, well-executed hard/alternative rock album has been available since 2003. However, I just recently became aware of this band thanks to David Cook talking about the awesomeness of Tulsa Sound. I am a post-baby boomer. That means I was too busy with my budding career and family during the 90’s to pay attention to music. I probably didn’t miss much by missing the whole grunge and post-grunge sounds. However, after such a long hiatus, it would have been rather difficult to get back to the whole habit of music listening. Well, it would have been if it were not for MWK. Every track in this album has a catchy hook or two that keeps me intrigued and wanting more. The guitar sound is sometimes edgy, sometimes raw, sometimes sentimental, and always satisfying. And the vocal, which is one of the most glorious voices I have ever heard, works really well with the whole package. Every post-baby boomer should have this album in his/her iPod to celebrate the fact that we can enjoy music again after our careers and families and otherwise lives are right on track. And the best part is, we did not have to live through the 90’s music to get here.

This album is amazing, its not at all dry, disregard the last review.... Everybody I have played this CD for always asks me to burn them a copy, because they love it... Keep up the amazing work, and come back to Utah....

This album is extremely BORING! This might have been decent if it were released in the mid-90's, but by today's standards it is very out of date. The singers voice is very dry and sounds exactly like the dude from Caroline's Spine. The production/engineering work on the album is sub par as well.
