This album is so good and this is coming from someone who has never liked her music

I've loved Julia Michaels long before I knew who she was. Julia has been involved in the music industry for a LONG time! She co-wrote the theme song for Austin & Ally when she was a teenager and soon after she started writing pop hits for big names (including Gwen Stefani, Demi Lovato, Justin Bieber, Janelle Monae and her most frequent collaborator [and friend] Selena Gomez.) Since her EP Issues, Julia has really come into her own. Her poetic and relatable lyrics that come from the heart, her infectious melodies, her husky and emotional voice...how can you NOT love Julia as a performer? I'm a fan of Demi Lovato's powerhouse vocals, but Julia knows how to pack a punch too and she doesn't need that impressive range to make a huge impact. Perhaps it's because she knows how to write music that elevates her talent. All Your Exes (and the funny and bloody music video) is a great song! Very catchy; an amazing opener. The most moving song is definitely That's the Kind of Woman. It's an acoustic song, mainly just Julia's trembling voice and her guitar. As it says in a recent article from The Independent: Michaels has a great voice...words tumble from her lips with something approaching nonchalance, as though she’s making an aside to a best friend instead of confessing her innermost feelings to the world. ACCURATE. Anyways...all that to say GET THIS ALBUM. It is only ten songs long, I hope there are more songs on her next one because I can't get enough of this phenomenal woman! She is about as real as they come and we are lucky she decided to start sharing more of her talent with us by stepping out from behind the scenes and into the spotlight.
