Since 2015, Kihyun has been lucky enough to have quite a few OSTs to his name. While each of them has a distinct colour, 다시 봄 really highlights Kihyun’s vocal prowess and just how much he’s grown since debut. It has slow build-up, gentle undertones, yet searing power. You can hear Kihyun’s control over every verse — he knows just when to keep it velvety smooth and when to belt out those high notes. He hits 3 octaves in this song alone, a rare feat for male vocalists. It is a treat to listen to, and perfectly fitting for the tone of the drama.
As a Kihyun fan, I am biased, but I don’t think I exaggerate when I say he is one of the supremely underrated vocalists in K-Pop, and the best one of his generation. Kihyun, I love you and I’m so proud of you!
