This is a grown man hip hop record. Much in the way Jay-Z gave us knowledge and introspection on 4:44, Phonte does not sacrifice the musical background to get his points across. If you are a fan of Little Brother of Foreign Exchange then you already know. BUT, if you’ve been under a rock since 2009 when LB broke up, then you need to give your ears some candy and vegetables. Sweet You, Expensive Genes & So Help Me God are musts! Yes! Tigallo to the rescue!!!!!

No News Is Good News is currently the best rap album of 2018. Flawless. Concise. Bars. From an artist, that influenced the top rappers of this generation (Drake, Kendrick, J. Cole), Phonte Coleman is just reminding folks that he's the master in this thing called rap. Hopefully he will finally get that Grammy Nomination in the rap category that he deserves. So Help Me God is a Rap Clinic. Expensive Genes to Cry No More is one of the best transitions I've heard in a long time and talks about a topic that isn't talked about enough. Health. Album tells a story from beginning to end. Support the album.
